The All-Russian Festival of Artistic Creativity of the Indigenous Small-Numbered People of the North, Siberia and the Far East of Russian Federation "THE NORTHERN LIGHTS"

3 - 4 october, 2014, Khanty-Mansiysk


The festival "NORTHERN LIGHTS" aims to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of the indigenous people of the North, Siberia and the Far East, promote authentic traditional knowledge of culture carriers, exchange experience and strengthen creative relations between folk groups.

In one place representatives of various regions and cultures of this vast country will get together to present the magnificence and diversity of artistic creativity of indigenous people.

The festival programme features "The Round Dance of Friendship", creativity relay by festival participants through the areas of Yugra, the round table discussion "The diversity of cultures in the unity of the world", master classes for heads of creative groups, the ethno-marathon "The Meridians of cultures". 

The founders of the festival are the Ministry of сulture of Russian Federation, the Federal State budgetary institution of culture "The State Russian House of Folk Arts".
